Explanation:

The formation process of a tropical cyclone revolves around the building of heat. As heat is the most important factor in cyclone building, a cyclone can only form within the Tropics. Cyclone formation can be broken down into three stages (see diagram): tropical wave, tropical disturbance, and finally, tropical cyclone. But in order to best comprehend this process, it helps to understand the background system that provides such fertile ground for cyclone formation, known as the Inter Tropical Conversion Zone (ITCZ). Occurring only within the Tropics of Capricorn and Cancer, it leads to the Jet Stream wind band mechanism, which plays a key role in turning a regular weather disturbance into a tropical cyclone.

A disturbance in the troposphere of wave length 1000–4000 km (cyclonic scale). They are recognized on synoptic charts as migratory high and low pressure systems. A frontal wave at the crest of which there is a center of cyclonic circulation; therefore, the frontal wave of a wave cyclone
