A cylinder having diameter 40cm and height 70cm and contain 4 by 5th of water .If the cone having some diameter and height equal to 4by 3 times the height of the Cylinder ,how much water flow throw from vessel?

Here, diameter =40 cm

R=d/2=40/2=20 cm

H=70 cm

The volume of cylinder (the volume of water)

=pie×r square ×h

22/7 ×20×20×7

=88000cm cube

The water is up to 4/5th of the cylinder.

1/5th of the cylinder is without water

88000×1/5=17600cm cube of water is added to the cylinder to make it full of water.....eqn 1

For cone,

R=18 cm

H=3/4×70=52.5 cm

Volume of cone =1 /3 x pie x r Sq. x h

=1/3×22/7×18×18×52.5

=17820 cm cube........ Eqn 2

The water overflowing =17820 - 17600...... From eqn 1 and 2

=220 cm cube

220 cm cube of water will over flow
