outer diameter(D)=14 cm
outer radius(R)=7cm
inner radius(r)=7-2=5cm. (outer-radius)
outer height(H)=14 cm (given)

inner height (h)=12 cm

capacity=πr×r×h=22/7×5×5×12=942.85

volume of metal=πR×R×H - πr×r×h =22/7×7×7×14-942.85=2156-942.85=1213.15= Ans.

Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Capacity of cylinder = 1100 cm^3

● Explanation -

Outer radius of thick cylinder is -

R = 14/2

R = 7 cm

Thus inner diameter will be -

r = R - t

r = 7 - 2

r = 5 cm

Capacity of the cylinder is -

Capacity of cylinder = πr^2.h

Capacity of cylinder = 22/7 × 5^2 × 14

Capacity of cylinder = 1100 cm^3

Hence, capacity of cylinder is 1100 cm^3.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
