There is a large cylinder whose diameter is 12 cm and from this cylinder a cylinder of radius 6 cm has been cut out.

So volume of external cylinder,

V_e=\pi r^2 h

V_e=\pi 6^2\times 84

V_e=3024\pi

Now volume of inner cylinder

V_i=\pi (6-1.5)^2\times 84

V_i=\pi (4.5)^2\times 84

V_i=1701\pi

Therefore, Volume of material is

V_e - V_i= 3024\pi - 1701\pi = 1323\pi

Taking π as 22/7,

Volume of material is 1323\times \frac{22}{7}=4158cm^3

Weight of the cylinder is 4158\times 7.5=31185 gm
