It is stated that,

The temperature is constant so, It can be done by using Boyle's.

For case one,

Pressure(P₁) = 760 mm Hg

Volume(V₁) = 20 litres

For case two,

Pressure(P₂) = 1 mm Hg

Volume(V₂) = V₂

We know that,

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

⇒ 760×20 = 1×V₂

⇒ V₂ = 1520 litres

So, at the next time the volume of the gas becomes 1520 litres

The capacity of each flasks_

200 cm³

= 200/(10×10×10) dm³

= 0.2 dm³

= 0.2 litres

So, the number of flasks is required to contain the gas _

(1520÷0.2)

= ( 15200 ÷ 2)

= 7600 flasks

∴ 7600 flasks are required to contain the gas.

Answer:

Pressure(P₁) = 760 mm Hg

Volume(V₁) = 20 litres

ii)

Pressure(P₂) = 1 mm Hg

Volume(V₂) = V₂

We know that,

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

⇒ 760×20 = 1×V₂

⇒ V₂ = 1520 litres

So, at the next time the volume of the gas becomes 1520 litres

The capacity of each flasks_

200 cm³

= 200/(10×10×10) dm³

= 0.2 litres

So, the number of flasks is required to contain the gas _

(1520÷0.2)

= ( 15200 ÷ 2)

= 7600 flasks
