• Circumference of base = 22cm

To find :-

• Curved Surface area of the cylinder.

Solution:-

Circumference of the base of cylinder = 22cm

We know,

Circumference = $2\pi r$

= $22 = 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times r$

= $\frac {22 \times 7}{22} = r$

=> r = 7 cm

Now,

Curved Surface Area of a cylinder = $2\pi r h$

$\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 2 \times \frac {22}{7} \times 7 \times 7$

$\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 2 \times 22 \times 7 = 44 \times 7 = 308 {cm}^{2}$

Hence the curved surface are of the cylinder is 308cm².
