Diameter = d = 1 m
Radius ( r )= d / 2 = 1 / 2 m
Height = h = 4.2 m
Curved surface area of the cylinder
C.S.A = 2πrh
= 2 × 22 / 7 × 1 / 2 × 4.2
= 13.2 square meters
Cost of white washing the CSA of
Piller per square meter = Rs 15
Cost of white washing the 13.2m Piller
= 13.2 × 15
= Rs 198
