A cylinder was filled with gaseous mixture containing CO and N, (equal masses). The ratio of the
pressure in cylinder are

(1) 1:1
(2) 1:2
(3) 2:1

we know that ,

pressure = mass/volume

p 1= m1/v

p2 = m2 / v

so , the ratio will be

 \frac{p1}{p2}  =   \frac{ \frac{m1}{v} }{ \frac{m2}{v} }

 \frac{p1}{p2}  =  \frac{m1}{m2}

 \frac{p1}{p2}  = \frac{mass \:  \: of \: co}{mass \: of \: n}

 \frac{p1}{p2}  =  \frac{12 + 16}{14}  =  \frac{28}{14}

 \frac{p1}{p2}  =  \frac{2}{1}

so, the ratio will be 2: 1
