A cylinderical vessel opens at the top has diameter of 20 cm and height of 14 cm . Find the cost of tin platting it on inside at rate of 1 rupper per 100 cm square.

here the area we want to tin-plate is
(lateral surface area) + (area of base)
2πrh + π(r^2)
πr(2h + r)
r = 10cm
h = 14cm
so required area is
π(10){ 2(14) + (10) }
380π cm^2
now for 100cm^2 cost is 1 rs
so for 380π cm^2 cost will be
380π/100 rs
380(3.14)/100
11.932 rs
