Answer:

Given, diameter of the base is 1 m. Here, radius = r = 12 m and height = h = 1 m. Therefore, the cost of tin = Rs 308 × 5514 = Rs 1210.

Answer:

A cylindrical container is to be made of tin sheets.The height of the container is 1m & diameter is 70cm. If the container is open at the top & tin sheet costs of Rs.30m².

To find:

The cost of tin sheet for making the container.

Solution:

⚫Diameter of the base of container, d=70cm.

=) Radius, r= d/2

=) 70/2

=) 35cm

⚫Height of the container, h= 1m.

We know, 1m= 100cm.

Now,

•Area of tin sheet required:

Curved surface area+area of circle base.

•We know formula of CSA;

=) 2πrh

&

•Area of circular base;

=) πr²

Therefore,

•Convert in m;

1cm²= 1000m²

=) 2.585m²

So,

⚫Cost of 1m² of tin sheet= Rs.30m²

Cost of 2.585m² of tin sheet;

=) Rs.(30 × 2.585)

=) Rs. 775.50

Hence,

The cost of tin sheet for making the container is Rs.775.50.

Hope it helps ☺️
