777 cones can we fill with ice cream.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A cylindrical container of radius 42cm and height 90 cm is filled with ice cream upto 80% of its capacity.

To find : How many cones can we fill with ice cream of radius 7cm and height 10cm?

Solution :

A cylindrical container of radius 42cm and height 90 cm.

The volume of the cylindrical container is V=\pi r^2 h

i.e. V=\pi\times 42^2\times 90

Cones can we fill with ice cream of radius 7cm and height 10cm

The volume of the cone is v=\frac{1}{3}\pi r^2 h

i.e. v=\frac{1}{3}\times \pi\times 7^2\times 10

A cylindrical container is filled with ice cream upto 80% of its capacity.

The number of cones is given by,

n=80\%\times \frac{V}{v}

n=\frac{80}{100}\times \frac{\pi\times 42^2\times 90}{\frac{1}{3}\times \pi\times 7^2\times 10}

n=0.8\times 972

n=777.6

Therefore, approximately 777 cones can we fill with ice cream.
