a cylindrical hole is drilled out from a cubic wooden block.
the radius of the cylindrical hole,r=15cm
the side of cubic wooden block,s=100cm
the height of the cylindrical hole,h=100cm
Volume of the final solid= Volume of cube- Volume of cylinder
V= s³- πr²h
V=100³-3.14×15×15×100
V=100³-3.14×22,500
V=100³-70,650
V=9,29,350 cm³

thanks for asking this question.
here is the answer,

there is a cylindrical hole of diameter 30 cm which means that the radius would be 30/2 = 15 cm
the wooden block which is in the shape of a cube is having side 100 cm.
now, first we we will find the volume of the block:
100
× 100 × 100
1000000 cm²

now the volume of cylindrical hole =  \pi r^{2} h
= 3.14 × 15 × 15 × 100
= 3.14 × 22500
= 70650 cm²

now we are going to subtract the volume of cylinder from the volume of block.

1000000 - 70650 cm²
929350 cm²
