Given : A cylindrical jug of height 24cm and radius of base 7cm is full of milk

glasses in the shape of frustum of a cone.

each glass is of height 9cm and radii of its

base ae 2cm and 1cm

To Find : Number of glasses that can be served

Solution:

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

Volume of jug = π * 7² * 24

frustum   cone Volume = (1/3) π (r₁² + r₂² + r₁r₂)h

Volume of one glass =  (1/3) π (2² +1² 2*1)9

= (1/3) π (4 +1+ 2)9

= 21π

Number of glasses that can be served  = π * 7² * 24  / 21π

= 7 * 24 / 3

= 7 * 8

= 56

56 glasses can be served,
