Answer:

surface area of cylinder : 2πr(r+h)

r=d/2

14/2 = 7cm

2πr(r+h)= 2×22/7×7(7+22)

Given:-

  • Diameter of a right circular cylinder = 14cm

  • Height of a right circular cylinder = 22cm

To find:-

  • Surface area of the material of which it is made.

Formula Used:-

  • {\boxed{\bf{TSA\: of\: cylinder \:= 2\pi r(h+r)}}}

  • {\boxed{\bf{Radius \:= \dfrac{Diameter}{2} }}}

Solution:-

Firstly,

\sf :\implies\:Radius \:= \dfrac{Diameter}{2}

\sf :\implies\:Radius \:= \dfrac{14}{2}

\sf :\implies\:Radius \:= 7\:cm

Now Using Formula,

\sf :\implies\:Total\: Surface\: Area \:= 2\pi r(h+r)

Putting values,

\sf :\implies\:TSA\: of\: cylinder \:= 2\times\dfrac{22}{7}\times 7(22+7)

\sf :\implies\:TSA\: of\: cylinder \:= 2\times 22\times 29

\sf :\implies\:TSA\: of\: cylinder \:= 44\times 29

\sf :\implies\:TSA\: of\: cylinder \:=1,276\:cm^2

Hence, Surface area of the material of which it is made is 1,276cm².
