Step-by-step explanation:

Curved surface area of pillar = 2πrh

height of cylinder pillar = 3.5 m

radius of circular end of pillar =

 \frac{50}{2}  = 25 \: cm

r = 25 \times  \frac{1}{100} m \\  =  > r = 0.25m

Curved surface area of pillar =

(2 \times  \frac{27}{2}  \times 0.25 \times 3.5) {m}^{2 }  \\  =  > (44 \times 0.125) {m}^{2}  \\  =  > 5.5 {m}^{2}
