Heya,

Diameter of cylindrical pillar = 50cm
Radius of cylindrical pillar = 50/2 = 25cm

Height of cylindrical pillar = 3.5m = 350cm

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2*pie*r*h
= 2*22/7*25*350
= 2*22*25*50
= 55,000cm²
= 55,0m²

Cost of painting the curved surface area of pillar at the rate of 12.50perm² will be = 550*12.50
= ₹6,875

Therefore cost of painting curved surface area of pillar is ₹6,875.

Hope this helps you...:)
Have a good day ahead...

Answer:

Height of cylindrical pillar = 3.5 m

Radius = 50/2 = 25 cm = 0.25 m

 \large{ \boxed{ \rm{ \blue{curved \: \: surface \: \: area \: \: = 2\pi \: rh}}}} \\ \\ \\ \implies \sf \bigg(2 \times \frac{22}{7} </p><p> \times 0.25 \times 3.5 \bigg) \: \: \: {m}^{2} \\ \\ \\ \implies \sf \: (44 \times 0.125) \: \: {m}^{2} \\ \\ \\ \implies \sf \: 5.5 \: \: {m}^{2} \\

Cost of painting 5.5 area -

Rs. 5.5 × 12.50

= Rs. 68.75
