a cylindrical pipe has inner diameter of 4cm and water flows through it at the rate of 20m per minute. How long would it take to fill a conical tank, with diameter of base as 80cm and dept 72cm?

HENCE,

IT WOULD TAKE 4.8minutes or 4 minutes 48 seconds to fill the conical tank.

In 1 min = 20 m
In x min = 20x m
Volume of cylinder = Volume of cone
pie * 2 * 2 * 20x = 1 / 3 *pie * 40 * 40 * 72
80x * 3 = 1600 * 72
3x = 20 * 72
x = 20 * 72 / 3
x = 20 * 24
x = 480 min
480 min = 8 hours
