A cylindrical pipe open at both ends is made up of 2 cm thick plastic. If the external diameter is 42cm and the length of tube is 140 cm, find the volume of the metal used in it.​

Internal radius =11.22

=5.6m

Length of the tube =21cm

Volume of the internal cylinder =πr2h

=22×5.6×5.6×217=22×5.6×5.6×217

=2069.76cm2

External radius =R=(5.6+0.4)

Volume of the external cylinder =πR2h

=22×6×6×217=22×6×6×217

=2376cm2

Volume of the metal = volume of external diameter - volume of internal diameter

=(2376−2069.7

=306.24cm3=306.2cm3

Answer : 306.2cm2
