A cylindrical pipe opened at both the ends is made of iron sheet which is 2cm thick. If the outer diameter is 12cm and its length is 200cm. Find how many cm cube of iron has been used in making the pipe.

Outer radius = 16/2=8 cm

Inner radius = 8−2=6 cm 

Volume =π(r′2−r2)h, where r' = outer radius and r = inner radius

=π×100×(82−62)=8792cm3

Hence, 8792cm3 of iron has been used in making the tube.
