Hi ,

Let the length of the cylidrical

roller = ( h ) = 2.5m

Radius = r = 1.75m

Distance travelled when the one

turn off the roller = curved surface

area of the cylider

= 2πrh

According to the problem given,

Distance moved if ' n ' turns of the

roller = 5500m²

n × 2πrh = 5500

n = 5500/ ( 2πrh )

= 5500/ ( 2 × 22/7 × 1.75 × 2.5 )

After cancellation ,

n = 200

Therefore ,

The roller complete 200 turns .

I hope this helps you.
