volume is given 1131.90

volume of cylinder is 2 (TT) r ×h
1131.90=circumference×height
1131.90=c ×15
c= 1131.90/15
c=75.46cm

Question : -

A cylindrical tank has a capacity of 1131.90 cm³. Find the circumference of the base of a cylinder which is 15 m.

Answer : -

Given that,

Volume (capacity) of a cylinder tank =

 1131.90 \: {cm}^{3}

Height = 15 m

To find,

The circumference of the cylinderical tank = ?

As given, the volume and height both are havin' different units. For calculations, we wanna same units.

Here, we can either change the unit of volume to metre or height to cm.

But here, we will change height to cm for our ease of calculation.

As we know,

1 m = 100 cm

∴ 15 m = 1500 cm

Now, we've gotta the value of height and we are abled to reckon the circumference.

Volume = 2πrh

Where, 2πr is circumference and h is the height.

Therefore, volume = circumference  \times h

Volume = c  \times h

1131.90 cm = c  \times 1500 cm

C =  \frac{1131. 90\:cm}{1500\:cm}

C =  \frac{\cancel{1131.90\:cm}}{\cancel{1500\:cm}}

C = 0.7546 cm

Therefore, circumference = 0.7546 cm
