Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

volume = \pi {r}^{2} h

so, 3388 = 22/7× r² × 23

r² = 3388×7/ 22×23

r² = 46.86

r =√46.86

r = 6.84m

so, d = 2r

= 2× 6.84

Ans is 13.68m (approx)

Given - Volume and depth

Find - Diameter

Solution - Volume of cylindrical tank is calculated by the formula - πr²h. In the formula, r is radius and h is height.

Keep the values in formula to find the diameter.

3388 = 3.14 \times  {r}^{2}  \times 23

Performing multiplication on Right Hand Side

3388 =  {r}^{2}  \times 72.22

Shifting 72.22 to other side of equation and performing division

 {r}^{2}  =  \frac{3388}{72.22}

 {r}^{2}  = 46.91

r =  \sqrt{46.91}

Taking square root

r = 6.84 \: m

Diameter = 2*radius

Diameter = 2*6.84

Performing multiplication

Diameter = 13.69 m

Round off the value

Diameter = 13.7 m

Hence, the diameter of cylindrical tank is 13.7 m
