A cylindrical tube open at both ends is made of iron sheet which is 2cm thick. If the outer diameter is 16cm and its length is 100cm , find how much cubic centimeters of iron have been used in making the tube?

Given: Diameter=16cm
Radius=8cm
Height=100cm
To find: Volume of cylinder.
So,
Vol. of cyl.=πr²h
=22/7×8×8×100
=22/7×6400
=20114.2857cm³.
Thus,
The iron sheet required to make a cylinder(including top and end) is 20114.2857cm³.
