The cost of painting the vessel would be Rs 57.67

Given radius of vessel = 4.9 cm

height of vessel is given as 35 cm

Since, the vessel is open at the top

The total area to be painted would be the curved surface area of cylinder + its one bottom face:

2πrh +πr²

Substituting the dimensions of cylinder

2*π*4.9 * 35 + π*(4.9)² = 343π + 24.01π =

367.01π = 1153.46 cm²

Cost of painting 100 cm² = Rs 5

Cost of painting the vessel would be  = 1153.46* (5/100)

= Rs 57.67
