Hey mate

total \: surface \: area \: of \: \\ cylinder = 2\pi \: r(r + h) \\ 2 \times \ 3.14\times 10(10 + 14 {cm}^{2} ) \\ 2 \times \ 3.14 \times 10 \times 24 {cm}^{2} \\ 62.87 \times 24 \\ 1508.4 {cm}^{2}
Hope it helps u

Lily200: i think the answer is wrong!!!
adimaths: yup the ans. it's really wrong
Anonymous: can u tell me what's the right answer
adimaths: yup
adimaths: yes
Anonymous: ok than tell me
adimaths: T.s.a=2pi r (r+h)

=2×3.14×10 (10cm+14cm)
=1507.2 cm^2
It is open at the top
Therefore area =1507.2 - pi r^2
=1507.2 - 3.14 × 10^2
=1507.2 - 314 cm^2
=1193.2 cm^2

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

hey buddy,

area of cylinder = 2 pi r (r + h)

= 2 pi 10 ( 10 + 14 ) ---------------- take pi = 3.14

= 1507.2

top is open

therefore area= 1507.2 - pi r^2

= 1507.2 - 3.14 x 10^2

= 1507.2 - 314

=1193.2 cm^2

hope it helps!!!
