Hi friend!

We know that,
Surface area of the curved side of a cylinder is 2πrh.
Total surface area of a cylinder = 2(πrh + πr²)

Here, only one of the non-curved side is closed, so it's surface area will be:-
2πrh + πr²

Substituting the values, we get:
2( \frac{22}{7} \times 10 \times 14) + 2( \frac{22}{7} \times 10^{2} ) \\ \\ = (22 \times 40) + \frac{4400}{7} \\ = 880 + \frac{4400}{7} \\ = 880 + 628.57 \\ \\ = 1508.57cm^{2}

Hope you found my answer helpful. Keep Smiling!

given

radius = r = 10 cm

height = h = 14

we know that

total surface area of a vessel  = 2πrh + πr²

= 2*(22/7)*10*14 + (22/7)(10)^2

= 2*3.14*10*14 + 3.14*100

=879.2 + 314

=1193.2 cm^2
