A cylindrical vessel opened at the top, has a radius 10cm and height 14cm. find total surface area of vessel. Hint(take pai 3.14)​

The total ‘surface area of the vessel’ is .

Area of the cylinder includes lower curved surface, upper curved surface, lateral surface including height.

Given that the cylinder is open at the top. This means that the surface area of the lid should not be considered.

So, only lateral surface and lower surface should be considered.

Area of the cylindrical surface

Where r is the radius of the curved surface, h is the height between two curved surfaces as shown in the below attached figure.
