Given :-

  • Diameter of cylindrical well = 14 m.
  • Height of cylindrical well = 20 m.

To Find :-

  • Find the volume of water inside the well ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Radius = Diameter/2
  • Volume of cylinder = π * (radius)² * height .

putting values we get,

→ Volume = (22/7) * (14/2)² * 20

→ Volume = (22/7) * 7 * 7 * 20

→ Volume = 22 * 7 * 20

→ Volume = 3080 m³.

then,

→ Half of volume = 3080/2 = 1540 m³.

now,

→ 1m³ = 1000 litre

→ 1540 m³ = 1000 * 1540 = 1540000 litre (Ans.)

Hence, the volume of water inside the well is 1540000 litre .

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Well is in a cylindrically shape.

Diameter =14m

Height = 20m

Radius = Diameter /2

= 14 /2 = 7m

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

= 3.14 × 7² × 20

= 3.14 × 49 ×20

= 3077.2 m³

Water is filled half of in the well

Volume of the well is 3077.2m³

Volume of water is 3077.2 /2 =1538.6m³

1 m³ = 1000 l

1538.6 × 1000 = 1538600 l
