A daily wage worker was engaged for 30 days she was paid rupees 80 for each day she worked and was fined Rs 15 for each day she was absent. at the end of the month she received rupees 1925 for how many days was she absent.

Let the number of days she was absent be 'x' days.

The wages of 30 days if she would not have been absent = Rs (30 X 80) = Rs 2400

But the received wages were = Rs. 1925

The money deducted for remaining absent for x days = Rs. (15 * x) = Rs. 15x

So, the equation is :-

15x + 80x = 2400 - 1925

95x = 475

x = 475 / 95 = 5

So , she remained absent for 5 days.
