see let the milk and water be 4x and x respectively
then 4x=6 litres or x=1.5 litres
so we have 7.5 litres of milk water mixture
now to make ratio 5:1
let the milk and water be 5y and y respectively
now y=1.5 litres
so 5y=7.5 lites
so to make mixture 5.1 1.5 litres of milk should be added
