                                              The Brave cowboy

The cowboy

Ramu was a cowboy who lived with his grandparents, on a hilltop village. Every day he happened to take the cows for grazing to the grassland near his village. While the cows were grazing, Ramu used to watch the trains pass through the old bridge near his village.

The Damaged bridge

One day the cowboy noticed that the tracks on the bridge were broken on one place. There was a passenger train fast approaching the bridge and Ramu feared an accident to take place. He thought of the passengers on board the train and wanted to save their lives.

The accident prevented

He ran towards the train shouting to stop the train. The driver saw him but could not guess why the boy was running towards the train and did not stop. Ramu quickly took off his shirt and waved towards the driver signaling him to stop. He was nearing the train and the driver stopped the train.

A happy ending

The driver and the passengers were angry with Ramu but when they learned the brave act of Ramu, they thanked him for saving so many lives. Ramu was praised for his braveness and quick thinking and was rewarded by the people with gifts and money.

A cowboy was moving with his herd of sheep.

As he approached the alley adjacent to the damaged bridge, he saw a passenger train coming from a distance towards the bridge.

He knew that once the train would reach the bridge, a huge accident would occur.

He got scared and started panicking.

But he knew he had to save the passengers.

He opened his shirt instantly, stood on the track and starting waving it towards the train.

The train gradually lowered its speed and finally stopped before entering the bridge.

The passengers got down the train and everyone thanked him for saving their lives.

He was even rewarded by the government for his presence of mind and positive gesture.
