It's the incident that actually numbs my conscience when I even recall about it .
It was a normal college days , and as from electrical steam , we were on electric machine lab for practical sessions.And my group were assigned to visit campus substation for practical session,we went there, and a staff there was guiding us and was briefing every machine and tool and their functions. We were four to five students in our group.
It was interesting to know there how the transmission of power was managed by the staff to various area of college campus .we all were curiosily listening everything we were introduced there, the power transformer , circuit breakers etc..
Then after introduction of all most every electrical part there ,that staff lead us to show the transmission wire that was coming to substation . He actually lead us to the narrow lane area behind the series stabled circuit brakers. We were five peaple and a staff and in that narrow space it's impossible to stand more than two . me and my friend were in last behind the male group fellow and barely listening the staff's word properly . The staff was showing and elaborating something to them .
When they ended ,I urged I want to see what he was showing ..they made space for me to come forward . I went on, then he pointed toward the bunch of thick wire that was coming to connection of circuit breaker and explained. but I was confused exactly what to see , so to clear out I just stretched my finger towards those wires then at of sudden all shouted so loudly and pulled me backward …
“ OYEE KYA KAR RAHI HO”( Hey what are you doing girl )
I got scared with their voices and chaos what wrong I did ..the staff took us away from there quickly .And after switching away from that area ..all started looking at me strangely and their face were fear stricken .
I was null ,what’s wrong here, the staff started scolding me ..
” what were you about to do little, you were touching that live wire of 440 volt , Do you want to die , with you our life was also at risk ,do have any idea near to that high voltage one can get stick like gum “,

Then I went to flash back what I did , …
There were two thought I was with
1st:- I just stretched my hand to point that wire , although my intention was not to touch the wire but my finger were quite close, and that scared everyone . And we all were standing closely to each other so, shock to one was bydefault to other and as it was high voltage so it was life threatening .
2nd:- the staff took us to that narrow area mid of live wires that itself was scary . And also there were few non of use, function less circuit breaker , and as staff took us there I misunderstood that he was showing us the parts of one of the useless Circuit breaker . So I boldly stretched my finger near to the wire .
After all this I accepted my fault , that could be life threatening to all ,but also I was furious over that staff that how could he took us to that risky zone so casually,where ..bunch of live wires were spreaded .
When I was back to room , that loud shout and that incident was quite fresh in my mind ,I was restless . So I went to my friend and told her , today I was about to die ,she was shocked when I elaborated what happened. I was so frightened with the incident that I soon called my mom instantly and said that I revived today . I won't explain the response of other of other side .
Along with the fear , I was self guilty , thinking how careless I was . And that very day , I realised, why we need to take care of us ,bcoz there is a family behind every one , if anything would had happened then ,only the never ending pain will be left with them .if i love them then I need to surely take care of myself .The sense and feeling so close of an end gave me , a lesson of alertness , my concern .
I was blessed that I got new lesson new life that day .
