WHEN A D- SHELLED EGG IS PLACED IN SALT SOLUTION FOR TEN MINUTES THE EGG STARTS SHRINKING BECAUSE AN EGG IS A SEMI -PERMEABLE MEMBRANE . THE WATER DENSITY FROM THE EGG STARTS PASSING OUT .IT CONTINUES TILL THE WATER DENSITY IS COMPLETELY GONE.
