A dealer bought 100 footballs for RS.40 each. He sells 20% of them at a gain of 10%. At what gain precent must he sell the remaining so as to gain 25% on the whole?

Selling Price of Each for 20 = 40 + (10/100)40 = Rs 44

Total Gain = 25 %

Total selling price = 4000 + (25/100) * 4000 = Rs 5000

Selling price of remaing 80 footballs = 5000 - 880 = Rs 4120

Cost Price of remaing 80 footballs = 80 * 40 = rs 3200

gain = 4120 - 3200 = 920

Gain % = (920/3200) * 100 = 115/4 %

= 28.75 %
