Suppose the marked price of a fan is Rs.x.
Then selling price = x−x×25100 = x−x4 = 3x4 ....(i)
The cost price of fan = Rs.1080
And man still gains 25%.
So selling price of fan = 1080+1080×25100 = 1080+270 = Rs.1350 ...(ii)
So from (i) and (ii) we get;
3x4 = 1350⇒x = 1350×43 = 450×4 = 1800
Therefore the marked price of the fan is Rs.1800.
