\sf\large\underline{Given:}

  • \sf{The\:cost\: price\:of\: goods=Rs.800}
  • \sf{Paid\:for\: octroi\:duty=4\%}
  • \sf{Transportation\: charges=Rs.18}

\sf\large\underline{To\: Find:}

  • \sf{The\: selling\: price\:of\:goods}

\sf\large\underline{Solution:}

\sf{\implies Calculate\:new\:cost\: price:}

\rm{\implies New\:cost\: price=\dfrac{104}{100}*800+18}

\rm{\implies New\:cost\:price=832+18}

\rm\purple{\implies New\:cost\:price=Rs.850}

  • \sf{Calculate\: selling\: price\:here}

\rm{\implies We\: have\:here}

  • \sf{The\:cost\: price=Rs.850}
  • \sf{The\: profit=10\%}

\sf\large\underline{Formula\:used:}

\rm{\implies SP=\dfrac{100+G\%}{100}*CP}

\rm{\implies SP=\dfrac{100+10}{100}*850}

\rm{\implies SP=\dfrac{110}{100}*850}

\rm{\implies SP=11*85}

\rm\purple{\implies SP=Rs.935}

Hence,

  • The dealer should sell the goods for Rs.935 to earn a profit of 10%
