40% of 1250=500
And now 8% discount
Therefore now he would sell the cycle 32% above it's cost
32% of 1250=400
He would sell bike at RS=1250+400
Ans =1650rs

dk246422: And find profit percent

1250 + 40 % of 1250
= 1250 + 0.40 × 1250
= 1250 + 500
= 1750
Now, a/c to qn
after 8% discount,
1750 - 8% of 1750
= 1750 - 0.08 × 1750
= 1750 - 140
= 1610 ₹
