A dealer buys an article from a manufacturer for RS 36000 and marks its up by 20% The dealer then gives a discount of 10% on the marked up price and a further additional discount of 5% to the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper gives a discount of 5% on the marked up price.
The Intrastate GST is 10%

m.p=36000+20/100*36000

=36000+720=36720

discount on marks price

=36720-10/100*36720

=33048

additional discount to the shopkeeper

33048+5/100*33048

=

=33048.0+1652.4

discount on marks price

36720-5/100*36720

=36720-1836=34084

intrastate GST

34084-10/100*34084

34084.0-3408.4=3675.6

marks price

=334700.4-3675.6=3124.8
