The gain percentage is 12.5%.

Given,

Dealer gains 7% by selling sofa set for Rs 3852

To Find,

Gain percentage when sofa sold for Rs 4050

Solution,

Let the cost price of the sofa set be 'x'

Now, according to the question,

x + 7% of x = 3852

x + (7/100 * x) = 3852

x + 0.07x = 3852

1.07x = 3852

x = \frac{3852}{1.07}

x = Rs 3600

Now he sells it for Rs 4050

Gain per cent = \frac{Price sold - Cost Price}{Cost price} * 100

Gain per cent = \frac{4050 - 3600}{3600} * 100

Gain per cent = \frac{450}{3600} * 100

Gain per cent = \frac{450}{36}

Gain per cent = 12.5%

Hence, the gain percentage is 12.5%.
