Given:

CP of the goods=15000

SP of the goods=21000

GST=12\%

To find: the net GST paid.

Solution:

Understand that, the dealer sold the goods only within the state.

Therefore,

GST=SGST=12\%

Find the SGST paid on SP.

SGST paid=12\% of SP

                        \[\begin{array}{l} = \frac{{12}}{{100}} \times 21000\\ = 2520\end{array}\]

Find the SGST paid on CP.

SGST paid=12\% of 15000

                \[\begin{array}{l} = \frac{{12}}{{100}} \times 15000\\ = 1800\end{array}\]

Find the net SGST paid by the dealer.

Net SGST= SGST paid on SP-SGST paid on CP

               =2520-1800\\=Rs. 720

Therefore, the Net SGST paid by the dealer is Rs. 720.

Hence, The correct answer is option (B). i.e., Rs, 720.
