A DEALER SELLS AN OLD CAR AT 10%.Had he sold it for Rs 12000more, he would have made a profit of 5%.find the cost of the car

kindly clear that dealer sells the old car at 10% loss or profit..?
I assume that on 10% loss he sells.
now,
let cost price is 100%
if he sells on 10% loss means he sold on 90% value.
He would have gain 5% means total 115% gain if he increases 12000 more.
means 115% - 90% = 12000
25% = 12000 then
100% = (12000/25)×100
= 480×100 = 48000 Rs.
