A dealer sold two carpets for 25.920 ench. He made
a profit of 8% on one of the carpets and a loss of 4
on the other. Find the cost price of each carpet.

in the case of first carpet the CP is 25.92 rupee and he made a profit of 8% so for getting profit we have to to find 8% of of 25.92 and it is is rupees 2.0 736 so the profit is rupees 2.0736 then the SP first carpet will be 25.92+2.0736 and it is equals to 27.9936 the selling price of the first carpet is rupees 27.9936

in the case of the second carpet the cost price is 25.920 rupee and in this case the there is a loss of 4% so to find the loss we have to to find 4% of 25.92 and it is equals to 1.0 368 therefore the loss is rupees 1.0 368 then the selling price will be total price minus loss and it is equals to 24.8 832 here it is written that find what will be the overall profit or loss so add court at hotels cost price then at total selling price here are the selling price is more than cost price so there is an overall profit
