Debate on animal rights:

A:     Good morning, I am here to talk about animal rights. I strongly believe that animals have rights, just like human beings. We cannot treat them otherwise.

B:        Good morning, I oppose your statement. Your premise itself is wrong. Animals are animals and we cannot treat them at par with humans.

A:      Animals have feelings too. They are just like humans, so we should treat them respectfully and not use them for our needs. Just as man has a right to live, so do animals. God has not given us a right to kill them and consume them.

B:     I strongly object. The biosphere and the food chain clearly show that each living being has a place on earth and is here to be the food to another in the food chain, only to be decomposed later. So, this is how God created the Universe and there is no necessity to try to change it.

A:     Have a heart dear man. Don’t assume you are superior. Stop torturing animals and let them be. The world will be a better place to live in. Thank you.

B:    You have to understand. If the food chain is altered, the population of rats, snakes and all other animals will be unchecked. When everything is unchecked, there can be only chaos. So, it is you who should understand the other point of view and act accordingly.

                            Thank you.
