****Heyy friend here is ur answer****
Young women may experience low levels of estrogen due to:
1) Excessive exercise
2) Eating disorders, such as anorexia
3) A low-functioning pituitary gland
4) Premature ovarian failure, which can result from genetic defects, toxins, or an autoimmune condition
5) Turner syndrome
6) Chronic kidney disease
In women over age 40, low estrogen can be a sign of approaching menopause. This time of transition is called perimenopause.
During perimenopause ovaries will still produce estrogen. Production will continue to slow until a women reach menopause. When she will no longer produce estrogen, it means reached menopause.
Hope it was helpful:-)

The ruptured follicle (corpus luteum) now secretes progesterone and estrogen to continue to prepare the uterus for pregnancy. If the egg is not fertilized, estrogen and progesterone levels drop and, on Day 28, the menses begin. The menstrual cycle occurs in three phases: follicular, ovulatory and luteal.
