a) Aestivation or æstivation is a state of animal dormancy, similar to hibernation, although taking place in the summer rather than the winter.

b) The bryophyte sperm, which is antherozoids is flagellate and requires water to swim into the eggs. In other words, unlike other plants, Bryophytes plants involve water for reproduction they are called amphibians.

c) Photosynthesis is the process by which plants and other things make food. It is an endothermic (takes in heat) chemical process that uses sunlight to turn carbon dioxide into sugars that the cell can use as energy. As well as plants, many kinds of algae, protists and bacteria use it to get food.

On the contrary, when animals take rest in shady and moist place during summer, it is called Aestivation or Estivation. Aestivation is also known as summer sleep.
