(a)The chemical reaction in which two or more products are formed from a single reactant is called "Decomposition reaction". For example-
C12H22O11 (when heated) = 12C + 11H2O
(b)In the given reaction-
Fe2O4 + 2Al = Al2O3 + 2Fe
Aluminium(Al) gets oxidised to form Aluminium oxide(Al2O3) this is oxidation reaction. Also, Iron oxide (Fe2O4) gets reduced to form Iron (Fe) this is reduction reaction. In all, this reaction is a Redox reaction because oxidation and reduction are taking place simultaneously.
