general definition of power is “ it is the the capacity to do something in a particular way

but in physics , it is the rate of energy consumed with respect to time.”

now you can say, electric power is the rate at which electrical energy consumed in a electric circuit. ”

i.e., electric power = electrical energy consumed/time taken to consumed energy.

from Joule law,

electrical energy/heat consumed during time t = i²Rt

so, electric power = i²Rt/t = i²R

from ohm's law, V = iR

so, electric power = (V/R)²R = V²/R

hence, electric power in term of V and R is given by, P = V²/R

(b) electrical fuse is rated at 2A. it means, maximum current 2A can be passed through the fuse.

whenever a current more than 2A is passed through the fuse, it will be destroyed (or melt).

Answer:Elecrtic power:It is the rate of doing work by an energy source or the rate at which electric energy is dissipated is called electric power.

So, power(p)= workdone(w)/time(t)

=VI =v²/r

(b) it means, the maximum current will flow through it is only 2A.fuse wire will melt if the current exceeds 2A value through it.

(c) Given:P=1kw=1000 w, V= 220 v

Current drawn, I=p/v =1000/220 =50/11=4.54A.

To run electric iron of 1kw,rated fuse of 5A should be used.
