Answer:

(a) More individuals are produced each generation that can survive. Phenotypic variation exists among individuals and the variation is heritable. Those individuals with heritable traits better suited to the environment will survive.

(b)  (1) There are other factors too for evolution and just not Natural Selection. (2) The arrival of useful and useless modifications was not explained by Darwin, though he said about the survival of the fittest. (3) He has not given any explanation about slow changes and abrupt changes occurring during evolution.

(c) Darwin Published On the Origin of Species, Proposing Continual Evolution of Species. The first printing of Charles Darwin's book, On the Origin of Species using Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life, sold out in a matter of days

Explanation:

The Theory of Evolution by natural selection was first formulated in Charles Darwin's book "On the Origin of Species" published in 1859. In his book, Darwin describes how organisms evolve over generations through the inheritance of physical or behavioral traits, as National Geographic explains.
