in ladakh it is difficult to grow plants due to less rainfall and cold climate . however one can find patches of grass and shrubs . in the River valley poplars and willows grow . during the summer season a variety of fruits such as apples , walnuts, apricots, etc.,grow .
the important animals found here are yak , goats, wild sheep, provide milk, meat and hides. the main bird species are robins , snowcoks, ravens etc . some of them are migratory birds. plz mark as braninest.

Many species like the Black redstart, hoopoe ,brown-headed gull , brahminy duck, bar-headed goose, black-necked Crane, Parasitic jaeger ,Pallas's gull, Brown-headed gull, and Black-headed gull etc.There are animals like Snow leopard, Pallas's cat , Wolf Red fox ,Tibetan sand fox ,Brown bear , Stoat, Mountain weasel, Stone marten, Musk deer, Yak, Tibetan gazelle, Tibetan antelope /Chiru etc. The plants there are like Podophyllum hexandrum, Lavetera kashmiriana, Lotus corniculatus, Astragalus rhizanthus, Verbascum thapsas, Lagotis cashmeriana, Lagotis kunawurensis, Picrorhiza kurroa, Oxyria digyna and Capsella bursa-pastoris.
