heya!!!

If we keep a cell in strong hypertonic solution like a salt solution , the cell will SHRINK.

It is because the movement of water takes place from lower soon he concentration to higher solute concentration .

ie , from inside the cell to outside the cell in salt solution to attain equilibrium.

hope it helps u dear ^_^

Heya !!!

Here's your answer !!!

➡ When a cell is kept in strong salt solution , the cell shrinks due to loss of water by the process of EXOSMOSIS ....

➡The salt concentration is higher in the solution than that of the cell ... Hence , the water from the cell moves towards the solution by means of plasma membrane...

➡ Therefore, the cell shrinks as it losses it's water content by the process of Exosmosis....

Hope this helps you :)
